Biography

I am a pediatric physiotherapist with a special interest in leadership and clinical research. I have experience in program implementation, healthcare system improvements and global health lived experiences. My work centers on advancing pediatric rehabilitation, optimizing care pathways, and translating evidence into practice to improve outcomes for children and families across diverse contexts.

Since joining BC Children’s Hospital in 2017, I have developed advanced clinical expertise across inpatient, outpatient, and specialized pediatric programs, including the Orthopedic Cerebral Palsy Clinic, the Acute Rehabilitation Unit, and the Seating and Mobility Team. Alongside this clinical experience, I have consistently taken on roles that bridge research and practice, with an emphasis on system-level impact.

As an example, I have played a key role in the implementation and provincial scale-up of the Cerebral Palsy Early Diagnosis initiative, including the Early Motor Screening Program across British Columbia. This work involved designing and evaluating innovative screening tools, supporting data-informed decision-making, and coordinating with provincial stakeholders to expand equitable access to early diagnosis, while creating international partnerships. Through this initiative, I have developed strong competencies in evidence-based practice, program evaluation, and leading change across complex health systems.

First Nations who have nurtured and cared for the lands and waters around us for all time. We invite everyone to reflect on the traditional territories and land that they currently work and live on.
