The Institute for Global Health at BC Children's Hospital and BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre are thrilled to announce the 7th Annual Global Health Conference (GHC25)! GHC25 is an annual event bringing together a community of students, trainees, clinicians, researchers, and faculty from across health professions and disciplines to share knowledge.

When: Thursday, April 10, 2025 | 8:30 am – 1:30 pm PDT

Where: In-person at BC Children’s Hospital’s Chan Centre for Family Health Education + Virtual

We hope that you will join us at GHC24 for a conversation on “Creativity Through Crisis: Lessons from Global Mental Health”. This year, we’re focusing on the intensifying impact of global crises—conflict, climate change, and COVID-19—on mental health disparities worldwide. The conference will delve into the far-reaching effects of these global stressors while spotlighting innovative responses that are reshaping mental health care. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the intersection of mental health and global health alongside an exceptional lineup of speakers and conference co-chairs, Jana Davidson and Mohamed Ibrahim.

The Institute for Global Health acknowledges with gratitude, that we gather and operate on the unceded, traditional, and ancestral territory of the Coast Salish peoples — xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. First Nations who have nurtured and cared for the lands and waters around us for all time. We invite everyone to reflect on the traditional territories and land that they currently work and live on.
